Talking with gravity
Our young men want to talk, yet we are not providing them with the opportunity. Talking with gravity simply means speaking about what is really going on. This can be difficult – young men don’t often have these conversations with their mates – but it is vital that they practise speaking honestly and openly.
This week, Tom Harkin talks about how to help our teens grow comfortable with talking emotionally and with vulnerability. He discusses the importance of giving our teenagers the self-efficacy and courage to speak the words they need to say – after all, even as adults, this is a vital part of life.
